Mother’s Day May 5, 2011
Posted by Marina in : General, Home Life, Spring 2011 , add a commentThat’s right, MOTHER’S DAY is just around the corner!
And one of the coolest things about the location of Stevenson University is it is easy access to other parts of central Maryland. We are within 30 minutes of 5 different malls! As well as Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart Of course, being the avid shopper I am, I have ventured to all of them multiple times for many different reasons.

But today was different. I wasn’t shopping for gifts for my own mother, but for crafts for the children I nanny. Early this week we decided on things that they wanted to do for their mother for Mother’s Day 2011! Remember nothing says “I love you Mom” more than a homemade craft from the heart, so rather than just going out to get a gift card to her favorite restaurant and buying her a cute card – make something special that she will cherish for a lifetime!

Good Luck! Good Luck! Good Luck to You! Good Luck! Good Luck! Good Luck to You!
Finals Week is finally arrived! And although it may bring along with it a lot more stress; remember, it’ll all be worth it in the end. You can do it if you put your mind to it, believe me I’m rounding out my junior year and finals still stress me out like every other college student.

So how can you remain calm and ACE your finals?
1. Eat well balanced meals throughout the week, especially be sure to eat a good breakfast before your exams to feed your brain
2. Sleep at least 6 – 8 hours to be sure that your body is fully rested when you have to sit through an exam
3. Study the materials given this way you can have a better understand of the test
4. Ask questions before the day of the exam if you’re having trouble understanding the study materials
5. Take breaks here and there while studying, helps keep your brain from overloading – ResLife is having STRESS FREE STUDY BREAKS all week to help promote a stress free environment
6. Visualize yourself taking the test and the good grade that you want to achieve on the exam and it can come true
7. Read the directions fully to keep from any misunderstandings of questions on the exam
8. Relax it’s just an exam – you can do this!
