If you were at this awesome program then you would have learned that desserts can actually rid of some stress. This beautiful board contained many facts about stress and how it affects students. Apparently, over 30% of Stevenson Students feel more stress than normal. WOW! Stevenson needs to chill out (lol).
After finding out this alarming information, it helped me to have a stress ball and a sample of DELICIOUS cheesecake. At the end of the night, they gave away a Cheesecake Factory gift card!!! Holla!! Although I did not win, I will get there someday. For now, squeezing a stress ball relieves a little at a time!
But for students who are feeling overly stressed – SLOW DOWN. Take a moment for yourself to breathe and get a grip. If you feel overwhelmed to the point where you get frustrated, stop what you are doing and go back to it later. 9 times out of 10 you will produce better results if you are relaxed to some degree. And as always, the wellness center is open to talk to you… and so is your RA!
