So this will be a very short post – but Thursday morning my girl Brittany and I had our own sort of miniature pancake breakfast.  Sure we didn’t have a million people and we didnt pay to get into my own house – but I make some pretty amazing pancakes!!  They were cute miniature pancakes with miniature chocolate chips in them! Yum Yum Yum!!!!!!!!!  Yes, I know I’,m absolutely fabulous :o )  Moral of the story – if you’re bored, hungry, and have friends – have your very own pancake breakfast :o )

Workin’ at the Car Wash.. March 12, 2009

As the snow storms tuck themselves away for the year, the sun is shining and the weather is beautiful.  Outside of my house all of our flowers are blooming and I LOVE IT!!  So the other day (my memory is wearing down, I want to say it was Monday) I decided that the cars needed cleaned – They were filthy!!!  SO I hooked up the hose and had the suds a flowin’.  It was fun.  I love being outside washing cars.  I should start my own business (lol, kidding).

So if you”re ever bored and there really is NOTHING to do – go outside and take care of your vehicle.  Besides, it saves money and the job is well done :o )

Tie-Dye Partaaayyy :o) March 10, 2009

Nothing to do and feeling colorful??  Have a tie dye party!!  Even if it’s with yourself, tie dye is ALWAYS fun.  I did my first tie dye project ever the other night and I wasn’t sure if I fully liked it or not… So Sunday I decided that I would give it another go.  And I am so glad that I did!!

And I know what you’re thinking, I preach about saving money and blah blah.  BUT – if you go to your craft store, they have kits for just 10 dollars and shirts for about $3.  Still a little steep?  Do what I did… Visit your craft stores website and see what kind of coupons they have to print out.  A.C. Moore usually has a 40%-50% off any single item, so I only ended up paying $6 for my kit.  Yes, I know, I’m frugal.

Anywho – tie dying this time around was such a success.  I did two different techniques – one swirly (which looks amazing) and one that was supposed to be striped, but isn’t.  However I love them both – and the one even has hearts on it!!  When Ty was done wrapping his up, we called it the chicken (lol).  His turned out amazing also, and had peace signs!!!  We unwrapped our shirts yesterday and it was so exciting!  I’m actually wearing one of mine today!   It always makes me feel so bright and cheery when I have fun clothes on with bold colors. :o )

There are always fun things to do – you just have to get up and do them!!

Picnic & Play March 10, 2009

As spring does for the first couple of weeks – it comes and goes.  Friday when I returned home to the Burg, the weather was absolutley gorgeous.  So instead of coming straight home and wasting the day unpacking – Tylor and I went to the Funkstown park and had a picnic :o )  I know, I know, talk about adorable!!!  If you are ever bored and it’s nice outside, I totally recommend a picnic!

The food was amazing and the company was even better.  We ate and talked.  We laughed and played like two little five year olds that had the biggest crushes on one another.  The sun was shining and I was as happy as I could ever be.  I love the park!  And I saw a chipmunk!!!  Yes, I know.  Awesome.  Totally.

After the picnic in the park, we headed to my doctors appointment – which by the way was a success.  I am feeling so so so so much better.  And because I’ve been “so good” about going to my doctors appointments, Tylor took me to the opening of Rita’s!!!!!!  Now if you haven’t had Rita’s – you have been missing out!!  I love love love love the oreo ice with chocolate custard.  Yummmmmmm.

Following all of this indulgence – it was time to walk it off.  So Ty and I traveled down to the University of Maryland Hagerstown System to check out the Art show.  Tylor, proudly, had some photgraphs entered into the show and I was exstatic to go and see his display with him..  Not to mention – he entered in a picture of me!!!  :o )  I’m spoiled with love, you don’t have to tell me.

To end the day – Ty went to work and I hung out with my Dad, eating the traditional Chef Boyardee pizza :o )

So it’s almost tuesday and so far I’ve done alot with my spring break :o )

Currently, I am laying in bed typing this with my cat Kitters by my side.  She never sleeps with me – but tonight I sat on my bed and out came Kitters (lol).  It took me a while to get the computer up because she was walking on the keys!!  Dumb kitty. :x P

Anywho, sometime tomorrow – I will be updating the blogs and what not on how my Spring Break is going and writing about fun ideas to do in the spring.  Boy oh Boy i love spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wellness Wednesday: The Love Bug March 5, 2009

I think Wellness Wednesday finally pulled it off.  Last night along side of the SGA, The Wellness Center had a woman speaker speak upon the main issue of STI’s.  Along side of general information about them, she taught us about other forms of contraceptions and spoke of the center she presently works for.  We played games and got to know each other.  I ended up with the card saying – I pledged abstinence… then I forgot. hahahaha.  How in the world do you forget?  I do not know, but I had fun none the less.

I went with my girl Maria who is HILARIOUS.  And you best beleive we were first in line to tie dye our condom awareness t-shirts!!  (I also took some of the condom awareness stickers, among other things).  I have never tie dyed before in my life, and it was so much fun!! My shirt turned out very bland – So Tylor and I are going to tie dye shirts this weekend :o ) woooo!

So that was that – along side of The Real World and studying for my public speaking mid-term.  And now I am off to packing for Spring Break!! Stay safe SU!

Walking up the hill from the most tiredsome class of my life, out of the corner of my eye – I catch a glimpse of the men’s Lacrosse game and man do they kick butt!  I stopped and gazed down upon the glorious field for quite sometime before realizing I have a final tomorrow (haha yikes!)

Needless to say – Stevenson beat Gettysburg 16 to 6 :o )

Congrats Guys!

A while ago I was flipping through the channels and the infamous Comedy Central was doing a special on upcomign comedians and what not.  Owen Smith was the only segment I could stand to watch that was full of energy and humor.  So last week when I was walking up the stairs to the fourth floor, I saw a flyer for Owen Smith to be at SU!!!!!  I was like – are you serious?!

Well yes, whom ever i was talking to was totally serious and Owen Smith performed live here at SU last night!  He was funny online and on my tv, but he was a million times better live!!!!!!!!

Tonight I’m going to the Wellness Wednesday event – The Love Bug – and tie dying my very own condom awareness t-shirt :o )
