Tie-Dye Partaaayyy :o) March 10, 2009

Nothing to do and feeling colorful??  Have a tie dye party!!  Even if it’s with yourself, tie dye is ALWAYS fun.  I did my first tie dye project ever the other night and I wasn’t sure if I fully liked it or not… So Sunday I decided that I would give it another go.  And I am so glad that I did!!

And I know what you’re thinking, I preach about saving money and blah blah.  BUT – if you go to your craft store, they have kits for just 10 dollars and shirts for about $3.  Still a little steep?  Do what I did… Visit your craft stores website and see what kind of coupons they have to print out.  A.C. Moore usually has a 40%-50% off any single item, so I only ended up paying $6 for my kit.  Yes, I know, I’m frugal.

Anywho – tie dying this time around was such a success.  I did two different techniques – one swirly (which looks amazing) and one that was supposed to be striped, but isn’t.  However I love them both – and the one even has hearts on it!!  When Ty was done wrapping his up, we called it the chicken (lol).  His turned out amazing also, and had peace signs!!!  We unwrapped our shirts yesterday and it was so exciting!  I’m actually wearing one of mine today!   It always makes me feel so bright and cheery when I have fun clothes on with bold colors. :o )

There are always fun things to do – you just have to get up and do them!!

Picnic & Play March 10, 2009

As spring does for the first couple of weeks – it comes and goes.  Friday when I returned home to the Burg, the weather was absolutley gorgeous.  So instead of coming straight home and wasting the day unpacking – Tylor and I went to the Funkstown park and had a picnic :o )  I know, I know, talk about adorable!!!  If you are ever bored and it’s nice outside, I totally recommend a picnic!

The food was amazing and the company was even better.  We ate and talked.  We laughed and played like two little five year olds that had the biggest crushes on one another.  The sun was shining and I was as happy as I could ever be.  I love the park!  And I saw a chipmunk!!!  Yes, I know.  Awesome.  Totally.

After the picnic in the park, we headed to my doctors appointment – which by the way was a success.  I am feeling so so so so much better.  And because I’ve been “so good” about going to my doctors appointments, Tylor took me to the opening of Rita’s!!!!!!  Now if you haven’t had Rita’s – you have been missing out!!  I love love love love the oreo ice with chocolate custard.  Yummmmmmm.

Following all of this indulgence – it was time to walk it off.  So Ty and I traveled down to the University of Maryland Hagerstown System to check out the Art show.  Tylor, proudly, had some photgraphs entered into the show and I was exstatic to go and see his display with him..  Not to mention – he entered in a picture of me!!!  :o )  I’m spoiled with love, you don’t have to tell me.

To end the day – Ty went to work and I hung out with my Dad, eating the traditional Chef Boyardee pizza :o )
