Presidential Debate: Round Three. October 16, 2008
Posted by Marina in : Informational Events , trackbackRound three in the Avalon Community center last night was a mix between awkward and intense. McCain in an effort to save himself in the last presidential debate made cut-throat remarks about Obama and his financial plan. But Obama, being the man he is – kept going strong through the debate steering clear of direct insults towards McCain. Obama concluded after McCain’s tax cutting remark, that they both want to increase taxes, but for different groups. I personally support Obama in his effort to raise taxes for wealthy Americans… it only seems fair. But on the opposite side of the taxation fence, McCain wants to cut taxes for oil and gas companies. (OK, Bush JR.). The president is supposed to be supporting efforts to help the American PEOPLE not the American BUSINESSES. I have this strange suspicion that McCain is one of those secretive supporters of the Bush Administration – not good for America.
But as Obama pointed out – McCain and his support for president Bush is not a secret. McCain always fights back with ‘I am not President Bush’ – but he is a main supporter and I feel like that says A LOT about him as a candidate for President. America is tired of Bush, we don’t need another one.
It is obvious to many Americans that the differences between the two candidates is abundant. I’m not trying to push my personal views on anyone, but I do believe that having strong beliefs helps shape a well-rounded person. It’s in America’s hands. So speak up and shout out. You decided who is in office next.
Cheers
